Luis Suárez Strikes Again

From the Desk of LS7
  • Liverpool could have done more to support me through that Evra incident.
  • The Scottish guys who did that "500 Miles" song could probably manage 501, 502 miles. Maybe 503.
  • Spock really didn’t do all that much to save the Enterprise in Wrath of Khan.
  • Meatloaf’s song would have been better if it were called "I Would Do Anything For Love. Including That."
  • That Samwise Gamgee fellow seems unreliable.
  • Spartans: step your game up.

"Half-hearted run by Henderson"

Liverpool 2, Swansea City 1: First Thoughts

Chelsea beat Shrewsbury with a late own goal
Pfft, what sort of a team relies on own goals?

Ignignokt: Scuffle between Mario and Jonjo going into the tunnel.
So, you know, I’m sure the headlines will be about the match.

He_Drinks_Sangria : BUT DID THEY SWAP SHIRTS!??!?

Did Fabio Borini Do Enough to Earn a Chance Against Newcastle?

I was delighted for Balotelli and Lovren yesterday.

I don’t think it was coincidence that Lovren looked a lot more secure with a real defensive midfielder in front of him and that Balotelli scored with a strike partner alongside him.

I would love to see Borini and Lucas get a start in the diamond formation. Unfortunately though I would not be surprised to see the 4-3-3 and a midfield which remains broken.

Lucas has suffered from injuries but I would really like to see him with Hendo and Allen or Lallana in front of him and Coutinho in the hole in the diamond system. Borini and Balotelli also looks to me to be the combination going forward at least until Sturridge is fit.

Vote: Liverpool's October Player of the Month

saintgrobian: I think Cross Bar has shown excellent positioning and timing on blocks

Ignignokt: true, but own goal saved us at QPR single-handedly

ejbauer: Is Own Goal british born? That affects the transfer fee I'd be willing to pay.

nihil in moderato: Owen Goal is definitely British. I think Lefte Pjost is Bosnian, though.

ejbauer: Is KroosBar german? I can't remember b/c it might be kjross bar...

Lambert Confident Liverpool's Attack Will Click

Balotelli's Mowhawk: Mario is quickly transforming the "neck warmer thingie as a hat" into a signature look

max-o: it actually makes a lot of sense given his mohawk
err, i mean, given you?

Daniel Sturridge on relationships
It’s not hugely important to be friends to have a great (football) relationship with somebody, and if you’re not friends you can still have a great partnership, but you can also be friends and have a great partnership. You can hate each other and have a great partnership. You can just dislike one another and still have a great relationship. You can even have love/hate thing going on and have a great partnership, but one can also be jealous of the other and still have a great relationship. You can be in the friendzone and still have a great partnership. You could have a long distance relationship and have a great partnership. You can just have a great partnership.

Newcastle 1, Liverpool 0: First Thoughts

Blaming the manager and calling for a new one are two different things

I don’t want Rodgers out…I just want him to take note of the obvious deficiencies in his tactics and be flexible enough to adjust accordingly to fit the strengths of the squad.
