Jordan Henderson Has "Minor Hamstring Injury"

As if the Daniel Sturridge injury news wasn't bad enough, now there's an extra helping of Jordan Henderson injury news to make us hate the international break even more.

Apparently there wasn't enough bad news for Liverpool today. Just hours after learning that Daniel Sturridge will be out awhile longer after re-aggravating his thigh injury comes this gem of a news update on Jordan Henderson.

[insert screaming in agony gif here]

While Henderson hasn't been in the greatest of form for the last month or so, he's still a key cog in how the Liverpool midfield operates. Losing him will be a blow if he's out for any significant period of time, especially as there's no clear "good fit" replacement for him.

Joe Allen and Emre Can can both perform somewhat adequately in Hendo's box-to-box role, but are both better fits in other roles. Lucas Leiva and Steven Gerrard just can't run as much as Henderson can. Adam Lallana could probably play the role with aplomb, but we just haven't seen him given a run in that spot at all this season.

It sure would be nice if Roy Hodgson didn't break everything he touches, but the lot of being a Liverpool fan seems to be that we just can't have nice things. Since bad news comes in threes, we should be eagerly awaiting what comes next. Maybe Brad Jones cut his hair.
