Liverpool Reportedly Set for Australia Return Next Summer

This season's not yet a third over, but Liverpool are reportedly lining up a return to Australia as part of their preseason tour in 2015.

Two summers ago Liverpool's preseason tour provided one of the more compelling scenes of the entire season. Playing against Melbourne Victory at the MCG, Liverpool were witness to an unforgettable rendition of You'll Never Walk Alone, witnessed by a handful of TLO regulars and supporters worldwide. The sights and sounds were breathtaking:

Fast forward to present day and Liverpool are reportedly eyeing a return to Australia, with the Sunday Telegraph reporting that the club are finalizing a deal to play a friendly at the Sydney Olympic Park's ANZ Stadium:

The Sunday Telegraph can reveal negotiations are in the closing stages, with the only sticking point being Liverpool's price tag.

The article doesn't quote an exact figure, but does note that Liverpool could be coming as part of another International Champions Cup tournament, which took place stateside this past summer, as well as the fact that the FFA have "been in discussions with several big European clubs to find the right opponent to play the Foxtel A-League All Stars next July."

Regardless of the nature of the visit, hopefully something works out for supporters in Australia, and they'll have a chance to see the club again at some point next summer.
