I woke up thinking that we'd run out of things to talk about already and we still have two days left to go until Liverpool play Swansea. And then I checked the schedule for the thirtieth time in the last twenty-four hours and realized that there is still two more days to go until Liverpool play again, and there's nothing to do or talk about in the meantime. Everything is, once again, the worst.
So we might as well pretend that we have some sort of power in selecting the side that will face Swansea on Monday evening at the Liberty Stadium, as that conversation started somewhat in earnest yesterday with discussion about the new signings that could play a part. They are obviously a factor to be considered, as is the opposition's style, the form and fitness of the existing squad, and your own suffocating ignorance in assembling a competitive squad. Not saying you specifically. But depending on who you are, maybe I am.
Anyhow, here's mine, and if you disagree you're either completely wrong or on the right track. We'll talk more about it tomorrow in the preview:
Mignolet
Wisdom Skrtel Agger Enrique
Lucas Gerrard
Henderson Coutinho Moses
Sturridge
Bench: Jones, Sakho, Ilori, Allen, Alberto, Sterling, Aspas
