Liverpool don't start for a long(ish) time, but there are a ton of matches taking place today across every level of English football and as Europe's top leagues get their seasons in full swing, many of which can help pass the time before kickoff from Villa Park. ESPNFC's schedule has a nice rundown of what's on offer; the 3:00PM BST/10:00AM EST slot is particularly packed, with nearly every match in England and Scotland kicking off simultaneously other than QPR's visit to Bolton (which started a few minutes ago), the Fulham v. Arsenal clash set to start shortly, and Liverpool's trip to the West Midlands later in the day.
AC Milan start the Serie A season away to Hellas Verona, while Bayern Munich (v. Nurnberg) and Bayer Leverkusen (v. Monchengladbach) look to keep pace with Borussia Dortmund, who are perfect through three matches. Lighter schedule in La Liga, where newly-promoted Elche take on an impressive Real Sociedad side, and Espanyol host Valencia later in the day.
Check your local listings to see what's available on TV or online, and feel free to share in the comments so long as it's not going to get the internet police sent our way. Reminder for those in the US that you can catch everything from the Premier League on NBCSN and NBC Sports Live Extra.
Enjoy!
