Uruguay 1: Avenatti 103'
Spain 0
Liverpool's last remaining international bows out for the summer, as Suso and Spain fall to Uruguay in extra time. Suso played the entire 120 minutes and was very good throughout, but the favorites couldn't find a winner and conceded from a corner in the 103rd minute. Suso spent time all throughout the midfield, often lining up on the right and cutting in, linking play well and providing excellent service both from set pieces and open play.
It's a disappointing end for Spain, but Suso can walk away proud of his efforts throughout. Jese and Gerard Deulofeu were the headliners, but Liverpool's midfielder proved important in other areas and was one of their most consistently effective players. After holidays are over it'll be interesting to see where he ends up, as he was linked with a loan move earlier in the week along with Andre Wisdom. Wherever he spends the season, hopefully he'll get plenty of minutes and a chance to build on a successful few weeks in Turkey.
