Jordan Henderson will captain Stuart Pearce's England U21 squad today as they face off against Romania in a warm-up for this summer's U21 European Championships. While that might not scream exciting, must see match to everybody, the involvement of Henderson along with four of his club teammates makes it the match with the most Liverpool involvement taking place this week.
Alongside Henderson, Jonjo Shelvey, Andre Wisdom, and Jack Robinson are all contenders to start—or to at least see significant action off the bench. Raheem Sterling, too, will be involved after Brendan Rodgers gave the 18-year-old his blessing to take part in the U21 European Championships taking place this summer.
So join us today while we keep an eye on Liverpool's brightest youngsters and marvel at the fact that Stuart Pearce has built an attacking, attractive side after years of strict adherence to the school of hit and hope. And if things don't go well or all the Liverpool players get subbed off at the half there's always the Italy v. Brazil prestige friendly to fall back on.
