Sunday Open Thread: Busy Day in Serie A, Not Much Else

Saturday's packed calendar gives way to a much slower Sunday, with only one Premier League fixture, Suso in action in Spain, and the rest of Serie A left to go.

After using up nearly every team yesterday, the Premier League has only Aston Villa and Tottenham on offer, which could prove to be an interesting enough match in its own right--Villa are going to prove a test for nearly every team in the Premier League, and Spurs are looking to recover from the surprising 0-3 result at White Hart Lane against West Ham just before the break. Christian Benteke might be back, and Paul Lambert's side could do Liverpool a favor by taking two or three points off Spurs to make the weekend a little less annoying.

Friday's win for Roma over Napoli and a small handful of matches yesterday means there aren't as many matches being played in Serie A, but it's still the most across the bigger leagues in Europe. Fiorentina hosting Juventus is the big one here, with the visitors looking to take advantage of the Napoli loss and climb into sole possession of second place. Suso and Almeria have their best chance at a win this season when they host Rayo Vallecano; Almeria sit bottom of La Liga on three points, with Rayo three points ahead in 19th.

LiveSoccerTV has a schedule along with live and repeat viewings on offer through legal providers, and NBCSN/Live Extra will have the Premier League action stateside. Check your local listings and the LiveSoccer schedule page to catch up, and feel free to talk about any and all of it below. Reminder that links to illegal streaming sites will be removed immediately and repeat offenders will be banned enthusiastically.

Let's enjoy.
