At risk of rehashing the same content that we already ran yesterday, we're going to go ahead anyway with the video from RedmenTV of Brendan Rodgers' interview yesterday with folks from a range of different blogs and non-media outlets. Partly because it gives us a chance to once again plea for anyone with any sort of influence to get us on board next time for real, and partly because even though the content's the same, with the visual you can't help but buy into what Rodgers is selling.
He doesn't come across as even remotely sleazy or schmoozy in the videos below, which were filmed by the crew from the well-known video site, but he manages to effectively sell a vision of hope and positivity at a time when most are still licking--or further deepening--their wounds from the end to the transfer window and the Arsenal loss. It could all turn out to be bullshit, of course, and there's a long ways for Liverpool to go. Eloquence and engagement doesn't equal results or points, both of which Liverpool are going to be in need of shortly.
But as Waldo pointed out in the comments of yesterday's post, "if Brendan Rodgers could make a team on the pitch half as good as he is in front of a mic, then we would be in solid shape for this year." Indeed.
