With Wednesday's victory over West Bromwich Albion in the books, Brendan Rodgers and Liverpool move on to the fourth round of England's second cup competition, the League aka Milk aka Carling aka Rumbelows aka Capital One Cup. And with the draw already out, it's fair to say the matchup seems almost inevitable in retrospect.

It's not Chelsea this time around. And it's not Manchester United or Everton, either. Though those opponents could still be on the cards for Liverpool in the coming rounds—except for Everton, that is, since they lost to Leeds on Tuesday. Instead, when round four kicks off on the week of October 29 it will be Swansea coming to town in a matchup that pits Rodgers against his former club.

In fact, now that the draw is out about the only thing at all surprising about it is that the match will take place at Anfield and not in Wales at the Liberty Stadium. Still, it's a safe bet that Swansea's traveling supporters will be looking to give Rodgers a rough ride for deserting them and that his former players will be out to prove he made the wrong choice by leaving them for Liverpool.

As for Swansea, they ensured a place in the fourth round with a hard fought 3-2 victory over League One side Crawley, coming back from behind in the second and then netting a winner in stoppage time to avoid an embarrassing early exit.
