As has been the case so often in 2012, there were only a select few things to celebrate during Liverpool's performance today. And, for most of the match, those few things were mostly related to Raheem Sterling, who carried the club forward on innumerable occasions and gave hope where there would otherwise have been very little. We've talked a lot about managing expectations and making sure that Liverpool don't push him too far too quickly, but on days like today, it's hard to temper the optimism around someone who, even at the age of 17, arguably proved to be the most impressive player on the pitch.
