Despite looking one of Liverpool's few bright spots in attack on the pre-season North American tour, Dani Pacheco will not be in the squad when Liverpool travel to Belarus to face FC Gomel in the Europa League on Thursday.
Unfortunately I'm not involved for the match on Thursday. I will keep working. Always. One day it will come.

There may be a need to make space on the travelling squad for more senior players like Joe Cole and Stewart Downing, but with Luis Suarez and Craig Bellamy busy at the Olympics it's still more than a touch surprising that there appears to be no room for Pacheco in the early stages of the Europa campaign.
After failing to make the cut under either Roy Hodgson or Kenny Dalglish and seeing only limited action with Rayo Vallecano in Spain while on loan, it appears another setback for a player many had hoped would be the next big thing to break through the ranks of the Liverpool academy. His attitude, however, remains unimpeachable, even if this would seem to signal the end of any hopes Pacheco may have had of sticking with Liverpool this time around.
