Liverpool 1, Real Madrid 0

Another famous result for the Reds in Europe. Yossi Benayoun's header in the 82nd minute give Liverpool a distinct advantage heading back to Anfield for the second leg. Obviously it will still be a massive test, but 1-up returning home is fantastic. From what I saw, Rafa used his tried-and-true European strategy-maintain possession when possible, suffocate whoever's on the ball in the final third on defense, and strike on the counter. Fabio Aurelio's free kick was inch perfect, although a poor bit of marking contributed heavily to Benayoun's goal. Hopefully Torres' ankle is nothing more than a slight knock, and I'm glad we didn't need to use Gerrard until the final minutes. Back later, but for now, what a result!
