Anfield Banter: McClown begs Carra to return, Pongolle is officially gone, Stevie-G speaks out about Feyenoord, & Roque loaned out

* Well, whatta ya know, to save face and possible embarrassment in England's upcoming Euro qualifying ties, Stevie McClown has turned to some of the older players including Jamie Carragher. What a complete moron. Did he not think preferring injury prone players like John Terry, Ledley King, and Jonathan Woodgate would come back to haunt him. I personally hope Carra tells him to fuck off. Any manager who takes Wes Brown over Jamie Carragher is mental. Former Liverpool star, Danny Murphy, doesn't think Carra will return to the national squad. Hopefully he's right.

* It's official, Florent Sinama-Pongolle has been sold to Recreativo Huelva. He'll be much better off in Spain, where he'll actually get to play and is just better suited.

* Steven Gerrard was very pleased with how the team reacted to Feyenoord's pathetic display. I personally was glad to see us fight back, it's something we lacked all of last season and in earlier preseason matches. It looks like Harry Kewell's return will do wonders in this department.

* Finally, Miki Roque has joined the long list of loaned youngsters. The 19-year-old defender will join Segunda División side Xerez CD for the season.
