* Former LFC Reserves captain Godwin Antwi will join Hartlepool United for a year long loan, effective immediately. The Ghana-born, U19 Spanish International finished last season on a reportedly impressive one month loan at Accrington Stanley. It is unclear whether or not the 19-year-old has a future at Anfield. He has never played for the first team.
* It looks like Marseille will be the 'lucky winners' in the Djibril Cisse sweepstakes. Though it is unclear what the price will be, considering the other teams in the running, most notably money-bags Eggert Magnusson, the West Ham proprietor, I would assume it 's close to £10m. We need to offload him, Bellamy, and possibly Harry Kewell, if we're to make more noise on the transfer scene.
* Though he may prefer a Chelsea switch, according to Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon the Blues won't be making any big money moves this offseason, thus leaving hopeful Florent Malouda in the dark. I guess that once again opens the door for him to come to Liverpool. It sort of makes sense if you think about it, I mean, where would Arjen Robben play?
* Finally, Carlos Tevez has been saying some interesting things in the past twenty-four hours or so. First he spurns Inter basically because they pressured him and then he says he would like to stay in England. I wrote in a previous post about how Mascherano has hinted toward a Tevez to Liverpool move, but with Torres looking more and more likely to come, is it possible for us to have both? That's not just having your cake and eating it too, that's getting laid while eating the cake. Unless our new owners are dead serious about winning the EPL title next season, it's not likely. We would definitely have to have a striker fire sale if that happened with Bellamy, Cisse, and Crouch having to go. Then again, the Torres deal isn't officially done yet, and I would definitely hope that Rafa is whispering sweet-nothings in Joorabchian's ears as I right this, you know, just in case. I've always been adamant about who I prefer us to buy.
