More Anfield Banter!: More Scott Carson! More Fernando Torres! & Uh, some Mark Gonzales?

* Much to Charlton's disappointment, super model and keeper extraordinaire, Scott Carson, isn't going anywhere. Phew. Rafa has apparently told him though that he will be competing with Pepe for number one. *cough* bullshit *cough*. Carson will be our number two next year and barring any injury to Reina, we'll see him come domestic cup time. Apparently, now that Carson is unavailable, Sunderland and Aston Villa have turned to Jerzy Dudek.

* It also looks bleak on the Torres front as we apparently aren't willing to pay £27m for him. I don't know, I still think £15m + Bellamy could probably get us Tevez, that's of course if he's actually the property of West Ham.

* What exactly is going on with Mark Gonzales? Does he still play for us or is he halfway to Real Betis? Since the Béticos did not get relegated, I thought this was a done deal? It was reported that a transfer fee of £2.6m was already agreed upon? So many questions and apparently no answers. There were reports that they offered Juande in the Gonzales deal, but seriously, what do we need another defensive midfielder for? Maybe we're trying to pry Rafael Sóbis out of their clutches. Now that would be interesting. The only thing that is for certain, is that Gonzo will be featured for Chile in the Copa America.
