Anfield Banter: Scott Carson, Yossi Benayoun, Jermaine Defoe?, & Added friendly fixtures

* Both Sunderland and Aston Villa have recently expressed interest in the incredibly handsome U21 England keeper, Scott Carson. I'm not so sure we're going to sell him since we have no real back-up for Pepe, unless you want to count David Martin and 17-year-old Martin Hansen. If we do sell him, I'll be very interested in the price since I really have no idea what he would go for. £4m, maybe?

* We've upped our offer for Yossi Benayoun to £4.5m. West Ham is hoping a deal will increase their chances of landing Bellamy. I think we would have been more apt if they had sold the Israeli International to us for a cool mil.

* With Darren Bent to Spurs looking imminent, Jermaine Defoe looks to be the odd man out there. I've always liked Defoe and thought he played really well with Gerrard in international matches. Hopefully, we can work something out if we don't get Torres or Tevez.

* Finally, we've added our two annual charity friendlies with Wrexham and Crewe Alexandra, where most the proceeds go to keeping those clubs in existence.
