The Daily Diatribe: Adios Pongolle, Kids coming to America, A Dunne Deal?, & Athens ticket issues

* Though it's not a done deal as of this minute, it looks as if Florent Sinama-Pongolle will complete the move to Recreativo Huelva. As I've mentioned prior, his game is better suited for Spain and I wish him all the best. Now if we can only get rid of Le Tallec and Cisse, we'll finally be completely purged of Houllier's mistakes.

* Our FA Youth Cup defending champion Academy squad begin a mini-tour of the United States today with an exhibition match against a Super League Select squad from Memphis. They will also play teams in Georgia and North Carolina before returning home on the 13th.

* Irish international and Manchester City defender Richard Dunne looks to be a target for us this summer. The three-time Man City player of the year is going to be 28 later this year and with the addition of Arbeloa in January, I'm not sure this rumor holds any truth, though I do admit it'd be convenient to have him around. I guess it would be a matter of him not minding a few less matches.

* LFC have only been allotted 17,000 tickets for the Champion's League Final in a stadium that seats 63,000, which means that some supporters who bought the CL package will not get tickets to the final. Milan got the same amount so simple math tells us that 29,000 tickets go elsewhere. 9000 of those were sold to the general public and the remainder of seats go to the "European football family", made up of various football associations and UEFA sponsors. Many of these tickets have in the past made their way on to the black market.
