The Daily Diatribe: Reds going to Hong Kong, Voronin ecstatic, Brown suspended, Hammill's future, & Riise praises Agger

I apologize for the inconsistent posting, but I've been extremely busy at work recently and it's been pretty quiet on the LFC front as they prepare for the Champion's League Final. Anyhow...

* We will be participating in the Asian Cup in late July along with Fulham and Portsmouth.

* Voronin can't wait to join us. Neither can I since the supersub gives us even more depth at left wing and of course, striker.

* Michael Brown, who's overall play last Saturday was pathetic, received a three match ban for 'not' headbutting Xabi. And this guy is their captain?

* Adam Hammill might stay on at Dunfermline for another season. I highly doubt it if they get relegated. I would love to see him in a Liverpool kit next year, but unless it's on the first team and on a consistent basis, I don't see the point. Maybe one more year out on loan for the versatile winger. I would not be surprised if a lesser Premiership squad inquires about his services.

* Riise thinks that Agger is the club's Player of the Year. Well, he's definitely a candidate, but he's got plenty of time to win accolades. I still think you have to give it to Carra for being solid, consistent, and coming up with a lot of big plays.
