The Daily Diatribe: Add Saviola to the list, Rafa wants one more?, Real the rejected, & Real the jealous brother

* Apparently, the newest striker added to our ever expanding wish list is Barça's Javier Saviola. His contract expires at the end of the season and according to reports they have yet to offer him a new deal. With Eto'o, Messi, and Ronaldinho ahead of the Argentinian in the pecking order, it's hard to imagine him wanting to stay. A free transfer for a 25-year-old with his talent would be simply amazing, but I'm not going to get my hopes up. He is definitely fourth in their striker rotation as the old guys (Giuly, Gudjohnsen, and the rarely used, Santiago Ezquerro) probably won't be around much longer. If they don't look to secure Saviola's services, I'll be very surprised.

* Rafa has come out and says he wants one more win to secure our Champion's League spot for next season and he wants it at Anfield come Saturday against Wigan. Shouldn't be a problem if he plays the same squad he did in the second half of yesterday's match. The only thing is I hope we aren't 'settling' for fourth place and CL qualification. I know it means nothing whether we finish third or fourth, but why just do enough? Let's finish above Arsenal.

* Real is like that guy who denies he ever got drunk and wet the bed. They are claiming that they never made Rafa an offer. Yeah, right, and they're also not interested in Cristiano Ronaldo anymore either.

* Real also is like the brother who won't share his toys with you. I don't know how this rumor of us wanting Raul started but it's just plain silly. No disrespect to the man, but we want players that are either in their prime, are coming into their prime, or have the potential to be really good when they reach their prime.
