Kids kick some baby Magpie arse

Our Youth Team got one step closer to repeating as FA Youth Cup Champs today, as they carried out a 4-2 thrashing of the homeside at St. James Park in the first leg semifinal. A brace from Ryan Flynn, a spectacular thirty-yard strike by Charlie Barnett, and a Craig Lindfield header was how the young Reds got their goals. Surely, this will set up a free-for-all in 9 days at Anfield, though it seems highly unlikely that our youngsters will concede five goals nor lose by three.

In other action, Hammill played the full match for Dunfermline, but was unable to help his side do much more than draw at East End, and Guthrie got his first start in the Saints' 1-2 defeat at the hands of Stoke.
