We all dream of a team of Carraghers

It takes a lot for men to engage in group hugs at 10 a.m. on a Saturday morning. That's just too early for male embrace, but the Guinness and Jamie Carragher's first Premiership goal in nearly eight years Saturday brought out the joyful congratulations at the pub. It was like hearing a buddy's first kid was just born or something.

For all the miserable luck away from Anfield, Liverpool is fourth in the table, even with Portsmouth on points but behind in goal differential by one. There's plenty to feel good about, even if the prize lusted for so desperately at the start of the season – The League – is beyond reach.

Now, for Rafa to get his hands on some of that Dubai money in January ...
