Switzerland 2: Dzemaili 81', Xhaka 87'
France 5: Giroud 17', Matuidi 18', Valbuena 40', Benzema 67', Sissoko 73'
It was another comfortable victory for France, who were able to stay on cruise control for most of the second half in a match that had little tension. Two goals inside of the opening 20 minutes gave them a cushion, and while Switzerland had a goal ruled out for being offside, there was only going to be one winner. Didier Deschamp's side cemented their status as one of the most impressive sides in the competition to this point, and are now all but through to the knockout rounds.
Mamadou Sakho started and put in another excellent shift, partnering with Raphael Varane once again. As he is wont to do, the 24 year old was strong in the air and near-perfect in the passing game, with little fault to be found during his 66 minutes on the pitch. He came off limping at that point, but it appeared precautionary more than anything else. With the Ecuador match only a formality, it wouldn't be a complete surprise to see him rested with a view to the round of 16.
