If You Were Teaching LFC History 101, What Would Be on Your List of Mandatory Reading/Viewing Materials?

Hi All,

So I've been following Liverpool for the last 4 or 5 years or so, and fairly closely at that, but most of my attention has been paid to current events. While I've picked up bits and pieces of our history and the legendary figures who have occupied and constructed said history, I feel as if I've never received a proper, from the beginning, A-Z education on the people, places, events, and dental hi-jinx that every good LFC supporter should know like the back of his or her hand. So, if you were teaching LFC 101, which books, films, and other materials would you mandate to give someone a thorough and broad sense of LFC History? Your help is greatly appreciated.

All My Best,

PS A brief delurking, since I've gotten the sense that's a thing people do here. If this is an improper forum for that, please advise.

Fan Since: 2008

Favorite Liverpool Memory: Hard to say. I did rip a significant layer of skin and still bare a scar on my foot from a celebratory slide on my carpet during Suarez four-goal game against Norwich. Right up there is the Sturridge chip/Suarez hattrick West Brom game. But if I had to pick one, for the sheer spirit and humanity, it would have to be "We go again." Honorable mention: BR scolding Sterling in "Being Liverpool."

My LFC support started in 2008, when I worked at a summer camp in Connecticut with my good friend Lesley. Lesley is a Scouser and has been an LFC supporter since birth, Liverbird tattoo and all that. Before I knew a single player, I knew that with hope in my heart, I'd never walk alone. I'm a lifelong NY Yankees fan, making the whole FSG thing a little tough to swallow, but the way I look at it, more money to LFC means less to that baseball team that plays just outside of Cambridge. I became a serious FIFA addict in college, and found fellow fans of the beautiful game to help encourage the habit. My current roommate, a Spurs supporter, being my biggest enabler. I currently live in Los Angeles where I am a pursuing an acting and filmmaking career and I'm loving every minute of it, even the minutes I hate. And last but not least, if anyone has an in on those knit ties BR and Co. have been wearing on the sidelines, I will do horribly unpublishable things in order to procure one.
