What is your predicted top 4 now after the first 3 matches and closing of the summer transfer window? Here's where I come out:
1. City - still think they have the best squad depth. Bench players would start for most of the top 4 challengers.
2. Chelsea - don't like Mourinho, Costa seems an ass, but the starting 11 is probably best in the league and Costa looks like a great signing (Fabregas too) and Courtois already looks like the best keeper in the league.
3. Liverpool - Sturridge was too isolated the first 2 matches and the attack looked much better against Tottenham with Balotelli involved from the start. A healthy Lallana will help. Not sure what will happen with Coutinho - magical sometimes and a player I like but tends to disappear. Still concerned about Lovren/Sakho/Skrtel/Mignolet. Sad that the Reus transfer fell through. KroosDeus was right . . .
4. Arsenal - CANNOT believe that Wenger settled on Welbeck. May work out great for them (shocked that he's still only 23) but they still need a DM (with the caveat that Gerrard is Liverpool's DM) and a CB.
5. Not sure. Tottenham looked poor against Liverpool but have a good manager, Everton are leaking goals but have a good manager and ManU have an unknown manager (not convinced yet by van Gaal) but really expensive squad. And Swansea lead the league. I think I'll go with Tottenham. Everton needed to do more at the window.
