Just been on the Liverpool site doing a bit of anorak-ing on our stats and was delighted to see we've had no red cards this season. It's not something that had registered with me (with, y'know, being all consumed with being top of the table and all that). I don't know where you could go to find out the stats on this but I imagine its pretty rare for a team to go the whole season without a red card?
I guess our style of play has a lot to do with this - we spend so much time in possession that we are less likely to incur any punishments for fouls. We went through a terrible time with refs up until recently and its amazing how much their attitudes to us have changed (although we did have some odd decisions at the weekend).
Think great credit has to go to Rodgers and the team for this, just another little positive sign of a team playing football in the correct manner.
Please God let me not regret writing this post and be accused of jinxing us!
