Well we are about to face a rather large break in action. While our players will be getting some international match-time, Liverpool has two weeks off. And so what do we do as fans during this long break? Well that's easy, we speculate on the future and read way too much into every single little bit of Liverpool information we get. So let's do a little speculation, this time involving transfers. I know its far away and we do this constantly, but I still enjoy it.
Rodgers has indicated that two plans are in place for the summer window. One plan will be implemented if we qualify for the Champions League, and one if we miss out. So let's talk about the plan that's more fun for everyone. Who do we buy if we make the Champion's League?
So here are the rules of transfer speculation:
- use http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/ for transfer fees (I know it's unrealistic for many players but this is just for fun)
- you have £50 million to spend
- Try not to be TOO unrealistic. Difficult to do, but players like Reus and Luke Shaw are realistically not coming to Liverpool in the summer, despite how badly we want them.
- Don't add to the total using sales of players. It makes me sad to think of players leaving.
