I was looking at how the wagebill is looking, with Downings imminent (X fingers crossed X) departure,

So we're currently looking at a wage bill that has plummeted to £66M (£71M with Downing).
£8M will far have been saved with this summers ins and outs (including Downing), £5M last January. Retrospectively last summer saw Maxi, Kuyt, Bellamy, Aurelio, Adam, Spearing, and Carroll moved off the books for a combined wage of almost £30M, and around £7M net reduction, including improved contracts.
There certainly been some impressive, and long overdue, streamlining of the wage bill. I was going to compare to the opposition but this is where things start to breakdown, as my current information has Everton at £65M, Spurs £100M, Arsenal £140M, which all seems too good to be true.
I'm not sure if I'm overlooking something, no doubt I'm off with some of these numbers. Corrections/input welcomed.
