We're bringing back a feature we ran once nearly two years ago and then promptly never returned to, until now! This site has grown significantly over the past year and the contributions of our readership are a huge part of that growth. As part of a way to close out the weekend and/or ease into the joy of Mondays (depending on your time zone) we're going to highlight a dozen or so comments each week that made us laugh, cry, despair, think, or click that rec button until they ended up green.
As in the previous installation of this feature, we're sticking mostly to choice shorter quotes, although that is by no means a reflection on the quality and lengthy tomes that sometimes grace our comments section.
Man, it's like if I'd bought two Torres shirts and a Meireles one I'd be able to tell you what to do with your Suarez shirt but I totally didn't do any of that.
alex.snow2: To paraphrase the Guardian, for all that Coutinho has tried to make himself look more grown-up by shearing those renaissance-era artist style curling, flowing locks, he still has that look about him that makes you want to put your arms around him and shield him from all the bad things in the world, in a vain effort to preserve his innocence.
Jose Enrique's Bicep : I think we should be phrasing this the other way
We should say, “Tottenham want Luis Suarez money for Gareth Bale”
Mr. Snrub : SUAREZ TO THE 1927 YANKEES FOR MURDERER'S ROW
BABE RUTH LOU GEHRIG AND FUCKING £££££££!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
PeterRed : Frankly you could put this as a Shankly or Paisley quote and no-one would be any the wiser, and that, is a massive compliment.
CakeBoss369 : If we don’t end up selling him before the transfer window closes, I say we bench him for the first 6 games of the season
Mr Sanchez, accompanied by this image : Great, now who will we lean on when times get tough
nihil in moderato : I can't believe I'm saying this....
but quick, BR, name him vice-captain!
latortillablanca: and triple lucas’ wages while yer at it…
Luis Suarez Dentist: I think that any new player Liverpool have should be made to go through a days training with John Barnes.
Not only was he (in my opinion) our greatest player, he is the perfect ambassador, speaks fantastic and I really don’t think it’s going to far to say a genuine hero. A large part due to his brilliance as a footballer (If Bale is worth £100 million, a John Barnes today would be worth a Billion), but also because of the adversity, discrimination and hate that he fought against.
The man is just pure class.
He_Drinks_Sangria: I’M THE HAPPIEST MAN IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I LITERALLY JUST RAN AROUND MY TINY APARTMENT SCREAMING AS IF I LIVED WITH SOMEONE WHO WOULD CELEBRATE WITH ME…
I LOVE CAPS LOCK!
YOU’LL NEVER WALK ALONE YOU FUCKING GENIUS OF A MAN
Ed: Poor result + middling performance + no fireworks in the transfer market + nobody actually knowing what happens behind the scenes = today’s apocalypse predictions. Assuming the worst usually produces successful results.
thatsMatt: I’m feeling pretty good, everyone. I mean, I’ve got my frustrations. But. No grumbles a little Four Roses can’t handle. And while I’m looking forward to next weekend, what I’m really looking forward to are the early Saturday fall/winter matches. That would be 7:45-ish a.m. here on the east coast of these United States. You see, I can watch those games in my robe. And it is a cozy robe, you guys. You just don’t even know.
