Chile 1: Castillo (pen.) 31'
England 1: Kane 63'
Another day, another draw for England, who now will need to win in their group finale against Egypt and get some help both later today--when the Egyptians take on Iraq--and on Saturday. Conor Coady captained his side again and played another full ninety minutes, but Jon Flanagan was left on the bench and didn't make his way into the match after going the distance against Iraq over the weekend.
Chile took the lead on a well-taken Nicolas Castillo penalty in the 31st minute, but England equalized just after the hour, with Harry Kane rolling a low strike past Dario Melo. Both sides had chances as the match wore down, but in the end England left themselves in danger of repeating the fate of the U21s, who unceremoniously exited the Euros earlier in the month after the group stage.
Kane's goal below, because England squads at all levels are best experienced in clips that last no longer than eleven seconds.
